NASA ASTRO CAMP Program Successfully Completed!

ABB Innovation LLC, in collaboration with ABB Tech Academy and Train Brain Center, organized the NASA ASTRO CAMP® program designed for teenagers aged 13-16. The 3-day intensive STEM program, held on 28-30 August at SABIS SUN International School in Baku, provided participants with an opportunity to gain practical experience in space science, engineering, robotics, and the principles of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).
A total of 15 participants took part in the program. Throughout the three days, participants worked on NASA-themed practical assignments, team projects, and engineering activities. During the training, they developed their problem-solving, logical thinking, teamwork, and technical creativity skills by working with real robotic systems and engineering models.
Within the framework of NASA ASTRO CAMP®, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of the FIRST Robotics Competition format, team roles, and competition strategies. They took part in various engineering activities, including building robot drive systems and electronic components, practicing robot control, and engaging in STEM activities based on space exploration. Participants also carried out practical tasks such as creating visual models of cosmic formations, analyzing planetary surfaces, modeling the expansion of the universe, mapping unknown environments, and developing model rockets.
During the opening ceremony of the program, representatives of Train Brain Center and Sevda Babayeva, Academy and Training Programs Manager at ABB Tech Academy, delivered speeches. Throughout the program, participants worked in teams under the guidance of mentors, applying their knowledge through practical projects.
At the conclusion of the NASA ASTRO CAMP® program, closing remarks were delivered by Hasan Eminov, CEO of ABB Innovation LLC, and Tarana Nabiyeva, Head of Train Brain Center. Following the closing ceremony, a certificate presentation ceremony was held or participants who successfully completed the program. Participants were awarded an official certificate accredited by NASA, along with joint certificates presented by ABB Innovation and Train Brain Center.
The NASA ASTRO CAMP® program provided teenagers with an opportunity to gain practical knowledge in STEM fields, develop engineering thinking skills, and explore future technologies more closely.
